Things like LCD's, computer parts, audio/video equipment, vacuum cleaners, kitchen appliances, etc. Do you throw away the boxes, do you keep all the instruction manuals in one place? What abot the cables and screws that go with them, do you do anything special so you know which appliance goes with with cable/accessory?

I have all the boxes for all my computer parts and most of my electronics, and they are now taking up space that I'd like to use for other stuff. It's really ugly, an entire shelf of random shit, plus closet space taken up by boxes for the bigger stuff.

I'm gonna take all the instruction manuals, and parts and toss out the boxes and packaging this weekend. I have a couple different places I use to randomly keep some instruction manuals, but I will also consolidate all of this stuff into one drawer or something.

I keep them all on one closet hoping they form together into either a killing machine or a sex robot.

Either way it will be a fun night.

Hefty One-Zip freezer bags (like Ziploc but with a zipper piece) for small stuff like screws and cables.

Big plastic storage bins with lids for parts storage.

"Getting Things Done" system by David Allen for papers and whatnot (real nice filing system).

Things I use on a daily basis are out where they are easily accessible. Everything else is smashed in a closet.
