How do you organize your favorite radio stations in your car?

my roommate programs his stations in his car by call number of the station, such as 89.9 is 1, 92.2 is preset 2, 95.5 is preset 3

on the other hand I do it by how likely the station will have a song I like on it

my favorite station is 1, second favorite is 2, third favorite is 3

how do u do it?

I put my 2 favorite stations on the outside (preset 1 and 6). 2 through 5 are just filler for stations that I sometimes listen to.

I responded "Numerical Value", which is true, but I have it divided in two.

The first press of each button contains my favorites, and the second push contains a secondary station.

I.E. 1-5 are my "favorite" stations in numerical order and 6-10 are the "secondary" stations in numerical order. But 1 - 10 as a whole is not in numerical order.

On the AM dial I only use 2 of the 5 presets.... and they are in numerical order.

I don't listen to the radio much these days but definitely by number, from lowest frequency to highest. I preset my satellite channels the same way, based on the channel number. Just easier to find what I'm looking for that way, considering I have around 24 preset stations.

first is favorite...rest are kinda random. I dont know by the my second favorite station is actually on preset 4. 2 and 3 are stations I listen to if 1 or 4 has nothing. 5 is a last resort station. 6 isn't set. But i'm so used to them now that I wouldn't want to change anything so I'm stuck with what I have. heh.

its seems pretty even so far, it just never even occured to me to list them by number, I have Rock channel followed by classic rock, followed by indie rock, then 2 rap channels then npr

and they are listed 1-6 as channels i most likely will have something i want to listen to

Favorite stations get lower numbers. Except for favorite stations that are out of town, so I don't listen to them as often. 1-4 are my top four Sacramento stations. 5 is my favorite San Francisco station, and 6 is my favorite Santa Cruz station.

I have them entered in order of preference. My wife has them listed numerically from least to greatest in her car.

I do the same. 1 is my main NPR, 2 is NPR in a different area. #6 is the best music, #3-5 are other music.

I also try to give a station a logical assignment: 105.1 goes on #5 because that is easy to remember.

The most honest answer is I just push "Shuffle Songs" or "Drive" playlist (podcasts).

random. Basically in the order I became acquainted w/ em, I dropped my less beloved stations.

Basically the order that I discovered that a station plays music that I might want to listen to. I think the numbers are 106.1, 95.5, 103.1, 104.9, 98.7, and 98.3 so I'm definitely all over the board. I just use the steering wheel controls to flip through the presets in order and if one of the stations is playing a song I want to listen to, I stay on and listen. If the next song is okay, I'll stay; otherwise, I just start cycling through again.
