how do you organize your burned CDs ?

You people must have hundreds of burned CDs ... do you just buy a book to put them in ? They're almost $30 for a book of 150 sleeves... that's quite pricey if you ask me... unless you know of places to get them cheaper...

music or software?

EDIT: I have an album and a rack for all my software;
for my music, i don't have many cd's...some i keep on the rack, but mostly i just have them organized by album in "My Music" folder 🙂

I just have them stacked all over my desk, under my desk, all over the floor and just about anyplace else you can imagine. Last week I went to the bathroom and realized I was wiping my ass with a cd. :shocked:

on spindles. too many spindles. now that classes are over i should go through them and break the ones i don't want

for backups.. spindle. stuff that i won't need unless my harddrive explodes basically.

meh, maybe the 128binders are still on sale at microcenter? the buy.com for 9.99 is over.

spindles. the binders get scratched more easily.

i programmed a php script for myself that i run off my server that enables me to see exactly what is on what particular spindle, which i have numbered. that way, i can [usually] find what i'm looking for within a reasonable amount of time. 🙂

spindles. wrote a program that lets me search by album or artist and tells me what cd has that album. easy to track down the correct spindle and cd from there.

a bunch of binders i got from borders that hold 96 each, they cost like 8 i think. plus a couple spindles and a ton in white paper sleaves. also have over half a TB on HDD that needs to get ripped to disc as soon as i get a dvd durner.

Same minus the ass wiping.

I've got 4 Caselogic 256 disc binders and I programmed a php/mysql script that databases what I have and which binder they are in on my local linux box. 😎

I just use burned CD's till I make a new mix, then I shoot the old ones with paintballs, they make for pretty good targets.
