I have around 30 ties and they're scattered around now. How do you organize and store your ties?

You need only 6-12 ties. Get rid of the ones that are dated, and get a simple tie hanger for the ones that you should be keeping. Write off the donations of the old ties, they do more for you as a tax incentive than they do mucking up your wardrobe.

Once you do that a simple search of tie organizers and you will find something that suits your more refined tie collection.

I had all my ties on a tie rack. Then one batch of foster puppies thought it would be great fun to reach up, grab all the ties and eat and poop all over them. Now I have one single tie that is hanging off of a hanger. The tie rack is still on my wall but it is empty.

I have them draped over a standard clothes hanger. Like...20 or so ties per hanger.

I have one tie which I store already tied on the same hanger as my one jacket. I last wore it 16 years ago.

you shouldn't need 30 ties. There's something wrong with your tie selection if you do.

ties need to be somber. each outfit will have a tie according to rather rigid color-coding, if you star having ties with stars on it, or guitars, or horseshoes, then you need to throw them all out and find someone who can explain it to you.

same here, i own 1 tie that i bought in college for my first interview.

it took me 4 hours to tie the knot the first time... and i have never untied it over the next 15 years.

i just loosen it up a little, take it off, and hang it up with the jacket for the next interview.

I actually have mine in a tray with each of them rolled up to not have creases.... Though they have been collecting dust for a while now. No one wears them where I work, otherwise you will get the inevitable "OH, got an interview today eh?" comments.

Just get a bunch of bow ties, shove em in a box with dividers.

I fold and put them neatly in a cabinet at work.

The ones at home, I hang them in a cloth hanger in a closet.

I'm glad I don't have to wear ties on a regular basis. I own a few...stored on a hanger in the back of my closet. It's usually 4-5-10 years between one wearing and the next...are some of them dated? Probably, as fashion changes all the damned time...I don't give a rat's ass...I wear the ties I have on the rare occasion I HAVE to wear one...fashion be damned.

There is nothing ATOT hates more than dressing up.

I have mine on a tie hangar. Generally wear a tie 4/5 days per week

When we redid our closet I put in a pull out tie rack in it. You can drape ties over other ties on it if you wanted so it could probably hold 20 or so if you really wanted

I use something very similar to this:
https://www.amazon.com/Tie-Necklace-Rack-Mahogany-MADE/dp/B001ANZWZ4

I have it arranged by tie color. It goes from grays to blues to purples to reds. This makes it easy to find exactly the tie color that you want to match your shirt. Also, the ties are not wrinkled by this storage method. My closet had a unused wall, so it fit perfectly without taking up precious hanger space either.
