How do you open ports in widows 2000?

I need to open ports for far cry because when i make a server it shows up in the Gray/unknows section of servers. I dont know how to open ports so can u help?

I'll help...
1st, look to left panel and locate "Operating systems" forum
2nd, go post there
3rd, you'll prolly need to go to "Software" forum, as this is prolly not a W2K thingy but rather related to your firewall software...

my firewall is norton internet security 2002 and u didnt help dafinn :0. Nobody replies there... srry admins

if you ask in the networking forum, since they also do firewall stuff which is networking, they WILL answer you. just because a specific forum has more responses, doesn't make it better for your questions to be answered.

yes, youwill get a lot of replies here, but not one that will be an answer here. go to networking forum and ask there.
