Here's what you do. Get a scrabble game and pick an arbitrary number, say 6 for now. Start pulling random letters out of the scrabble box until you have 6 letters. I'll get you started:

That would make a good girls name I think. If you're not satisfied you can mix it up a bit. You're having a boy so you want a masculine name. Lessee here, a few

<< If I ever have a son (highly unlikely) I will name it Sam. >>

That is my oldest son's name! His little brother is David.

I was aiming for names that were in the top 100 (not too weird) and not in the top 10 (not too common), names that were easy for most people to pronounce and spell. I considered what the initials looked like, because you don't want an unfortunate monogram. There were family connections for the names, and finally, neither of us knew a Sam or David we disliked.

Biblical names are always "safe" and you can name your son after someone in the bible who you particularly admire.

My boy is named Benjamin Aaron ...

Congratulations, BTW and get some sleep....right now!

We used my mother's father's first name and my father's father's middle name for John Grant.

IT'S not jonathon it's John.

I really don't like people that name their kids one thing then call them another!

Names can be very important... choose one that will work well with your last name and be inspiring.

I felt my oldest would need a name that would ground her... and maybe some luck to boot... so I named her Terra Jade. And she is the most down to earth and fortunate soul I know. :)

My middle child's name came to me upon waking, 2 weeks before I even knew I was pregnant with her. I woke up thinking, "Faith, Hope, and Charity... but the greatest of these is Charity" and I turned to the Mister and told him if we ever had a little girl, we would name her Charity. Nine months later we did. :)

Finally, my son needed a name that was similar to his dad's but we didn't want any more juniors running around. And I happen to think that Brendan Frasier seems like a very sweet guy, so viola... Brendan it is.

Whatever you do, your child will want to know how he got his or her name. I got mine because my dad thought Suzanne Pleschette was hot, lol!

<--- hates the car commmercial where the kid asks where his siblings name came from when all their names come from where they were concieved... :p

start a list of names you'd like.

head to a bar with a pushpin and list.

check with bartender to see if any dartboards are open.

I picked Eric for my boy. It's hard to think up boys names. I picked that name because I'd know a few really cool guys named Eric over the years...simple as that

Usually the first born gets the fathers first name and the paternal grandfathers name for the middle name. Though no one seems to ask you name anymore; why not name him 547-64-0134?
