How do you mount a 80mm fan on an sk-6??

Yes. Get an 80mm and turn it 45-degrees. The clips you have now on the fan will stradle the points of the 80mm. Do a search in here for SK6 and you'll find a number of threads, many with links to pics and better instructions.

Make sure you get a powerful enuf fan since there is some cooling loss. I went from the 38-CFM delta screamer to a 42-CFM Sunon and my temps went up about 2-3 degrees. No biggie. The 42-CFM Sunon is still kind of loud but it's not that high pitched hair dryer squeal of the Delta.

no no no.....then you get alot of your air flowing along the side of the sink, not through it.......just superglue an 80/60mm adapter on the sk-6

I have doubts about fan adapters. I used an 80-60 on my taisol and it was crap! Temps rose 12-15c. It was terrible! In order to get the fan to push through the adapter and the fins it needs to be pretty powerful to do so, hence more noise. That defeats the purpose. I have an enermax adjustable on it and had to set it to high just to keep an idle temp of 48c. The 60 that was on there would hit 42c full load and the 80 wound up being louder. I would try the clips before a fan adapter!

yes yes yes. It will work fine. This has been debated over and over. Each has their own opinion. If you have a spare 80mm fan try mounting the way shown here. It takes about 2 minutes and you will know immediately if it works for you. Don't waste the money on an adapter. You more than likely wont need it.

Here are some pics of mine. If you look at it there is very little that is not under the actual fan. It works quite well.
