if i really dont want to go i change into my gym clothes at home and then i just feel stupid if i don't go.
another thing is that i tell myself i only have to do 10 minutes when i get there and every time except for once when i was sick i ended up doing my whole workout .
I go straight after work each day. That way I'm already at the gym and have no choice but to work out. Not that it is a problem anyway, I like going so I don't really ever have any motivation troubles.
After you have been going long enough, you feel like you are cheating yourself if you dont go. I feel worse if I skip than if I go.
I also think back to when my waist was about 9" larger than it is now, and how fvcking miserable I was to look like that. I see some of friends falling victim to middle age spread, and just give in instead of fighting it all that they are able too.
well, everytime i work out, my muscles are fully expanded from the burning feeling, i like the way my body looks(nice curves in the chest area, biceps/triceps, etc. and i remember that feeling everytime i start working out.
wierd i guess but it motivates me to stay that extra minute or do that extra rep.
if you have problems motivating yourself to exercise then you are most likely doing it for the wrong reasons. i run everyday because i like to get outside, and like the added energy it gives me, i've lost weight also, but it isn't my motivational factor.

after a whole day of sitting on my ass, i feel obligated to go to the gym. my day isn't complete w/o it. but to add to the pump, i blast some adrenaline pumping music in the car on my ride home. it sets the mood just right.
look forward to hearing my own selection of music when working out, I don't get enough time in the day to sit back and relax and enjoy listening to music., so what better time than while working out
You either want it or you don't. If you have to force yourself to, you don't really want it.
I've had the urge since the end of my freshman year of college and after my 1-2 year stint of working out at home, I've gone religiously for the past 2 years. What motivates me? The fact that I'm changing myself and bettering myself for the long run. I'm gaining confidence and size, both things that have eluded me when I was younger.
