I am having a problem meeting girls. For those of you who knows how much work ics or cs majors have..........there is almost no time and no chance to meet girls. The work load is so much that I sleep about 4/5 hours a day. And seriously, the girls in my major is not very attractive....

down a case of beer and you'll be meeting girls all over.

no, seriously tho, look for them, in classes above and below you. Or, time manage better to leave some free time to go hang out or join clubs, whatever. I've had no problem meeting girls... now becoming more than just friends with any one of them is a totally different story...

<---CS major

/me laughes, girls in my puter sci classes aren't too hot neither, 'cept for some girl in a different class, she's pretty cute.

My advice: forget the girls for a couple years. Then, when you start making bank you won't have to worry (except maybe for their motives ;))...

Just transfer to a school with a lot of hot girls, then you just have to walk out of your class to meet them.

You think it's bad now? It's even worse when you start working. In your undergraduate years you at least have the opportunity to hook up with a girl from a non-cs major. Once you start working in the computer industry, almost all your colleagues are males.

"CS major" and "chicks" don't belong in the same paragraph, let alone same sentence.

Every CS girl I've met is either a triple-bagger-houn'-dawg or just plain freaky.

Look for girls in your General Ed classes. Try the freshmen first. ;)

Of course you can always join a frat. I did and met soooooooooooo many people it was incredible. You just have to put aside the stereotypical image of the "frat boy" - that is, unless the frats at your school are the 100% drinking/party types.

You can forget it... you won't have time to chill with them anyway. I'm an archy at Carnegie Mellon, and I can tell CS is just as bad, no time at all away from the school work.

And plus, with your free time neffing on this board, you definitely don't have time to go out and meet the girls, get off the damn computer :D

Wow...thanks for reminding me of *another* reason that I and other women drop CS. Tough to want to stay in a field where you're constantly looked down upon because of your obvious lack of knowledge/talent as well as sneered at for your obvious bad looks, since pretty, fun, desirable girls obviously can't be techs or CS majors.

Open your eyes and take a look at ALL the girls in all your classes. Last I checked, being a CS major didn't restrict you from taking math and science classes. And guess what? Those humanities classes won't bite you either, though you run a chance of looking like a fool if you can't write :)

Try a school with nearly 80% male population. SpongeBob can vouch for me, Kettering is devoid of women. There is UofM Flint near us though, and that is the exact opposite =].

CS majors dating is rare, anyways. I think there were 4 guys dating out of 20 in my CS class last term. I am a lucky one!!

Try and load balance. Set up a schedule and stick to it. Make sure that schedule includes free time so that you can relax and hang out and possibly meet girls. You could also try taking up jogging or some other hobby where it would be more likely that you'll run into girls. Also, don't fret too much over it. It will happen, it just takes time and patience.

Take some business courses, you will find some of the hottest women there and many to chose from. Accounting, marketing, finance, that type of thing. Many of the women I was friends with at TAMU were nice looking and very smart. Ahh soo many to chose from :)

Have one of your non-CS buddies set you up with a girl they know from one of their classes. Or maybe one of their girlfriends will know someone you might like. It worked for vi_edit. ;)

Quickfingerz: Alright, Davis! I'm CSE too.

Best classes are chemistry and bio. There's always some asking for help with hw *wink wink nudge nudge* Lot more girls in comp lit but they're kinda feminists (not trying to generalize but have you guys sat through an upper division comp lit class?).

DDCSpeed..
I think that you go to UCI right?? Forget about the girls there.. most of them are hoochies anyways (no offense to females on this board) and they are VERY spoiled and expect a lot from their boyfriend. I go to UCI as well and had 3 of my roommates in ICS major the only way to get cute girls in that school is take lots of Econ classes or hang around the social science area instead of engineering area. you can also join frat or live in the dorm and try to hook up with girls there.. but I still say forget about the girls there.
All the nice one are all taken @ UCI :(
