No, I am not a libber, just a cocerned bystander. I have a daughte who will be entering the "eligible" age soon and I am a bit protective.

I am an asshole, as many of you know, and I have one primary requirement for any boy who wants to talk to my daughter, ie. when you call my daughter and I or any other member of my family answers the phone, you will identify yourself BEFORE asking to speak to my daughter. If you do not I, and the other members of my family, will hang up on you. Yes, we will be just as rude as you.

pyonir, when I make a phonecall and somebody answers, ther first thing I say is, "Hi, this is Asshole, may I speak to Whoever." That way the person on the receiving end knows who is calling and who that person would like to speak to.

That is how I was raised. It is also good business practice.

If anybody thinks my way is wrong then spout off. I am willing to hear you out.

That happens all of the time here. 400 guys call my cousin everyday and won't leave their names. Even if you ask them. I just don't answer the phone if it's a number I don't know. 🙂

I'm very selective overall, so therefore shallow on the top layer...and it doesn't get any easier from there. Maybe in a few years it'll change, but I doubt it. I've been spoiled by my exes and female friends, so if things go badly, i might be too stubborn and die single. 😛

If a woman is decently physically attractive, I'll make another decision within a minute of hearing her speak...unless it's one of those nights where the talking doesn't matter 😛

I've never heard anyone say that on the phone. Only when calling a business...not a personal residence. You must be OLD fashioned. 😉
