How do you measure a man?

I'm a 42 year old virgin and my father is very protective. I would like to meet a nice man, but I don't know how to know if he's nice since I've never met one. What should I look for, and how do I convince my father that he is good enough for me?

Measure a man's WHAT exactly? I find that using a ruler always leads to disappointment, better to just estimate. Or something. 😕
