I  Subway tuna.

When I worked at Subway about 15 years ago our tuna was tuna+mayo, that is it. I have no idea if other places do it differently or not. Open industrial size can o tuna, dump excess water, grab a chunk and squeeze the excess water out with your hands, repeat until the entire can is drained. Grab an industrial size jug of mayo, dump contents onto tuna, mix. Depending on if the employee washed his/her hands prior to this could possibly alter the taste.

I am guessing the extra stuff they add to the sandwich gives it that extra kick.

The key to a good tuna salad is to remove ALL the water, this can only be accomplished by grabbing a handful of tuna and squeezing all the excess water out. Leaves your hands smelly, but a little soap will fix that. Personally I like to use Miracle Whip instead of Mayo in my tuna.

Tuna
Honey mustard
Ranch dressing
Sweet relish
Hard boiled egg
Tabasco brand Smokey Chipotle Sauce

Slap it on a bun with a slice of provalone, wrap it in foil, and bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 15 minutes.

Good stuff.

I used to hate the smell of tuna, so I never tried it. I finally trieda bit this weekend, and thought it was tasty.
I saw this thread and decided to whip something up for myself:

tuna in water, drained
light mayo
finely chopped celery and onion
salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder
just a touch of dill relish and dijon mustard

Mixed it all up, spread it over some whole wheat bread, topped it with a little shredded cheese, and put it under the broiler for a minute.

That was some good stuff, I'm excited to make it again. I think I'll substitute fresh chopped garlic for the garlic powder next time.

I rarely make tuna any more but when I did : tuna, mayonaise(very sparingly because I hate mayo) chopped onion, sweet pickle relish, salt and pepper.

Yours all suck. Here's the best tuna recipe in the world:

-canned tuna in oil (oil > water)
-Chopped celery (omit if u dont like)
-shredded carrot
-mayo (no miracle whip here)
-basic vinagar (a few drops)
-one diced hard boiled egg

Combine all and serve on whole wheat bread FTW.

tuna (drained) + mayo. I can't stand anything "crunchy" like celery or onions in my tuna.

tuna fish w/ american cheese on toasted white bread and tomato soup =

The only essential ingredients, I think, are: solid white tuna, mayo, and pepper. I find it tastes much better "dry", when you take handfulls of tuna and squeeze it out in the sink.

I just mix it up until it tastes pretty good. However it still doesn't taste like the kind I get when I go to Subway or something (I really like tuna subs at Subway). I'm just wondering what types of stuff you all put in your tuna salads because I'm about to make some now :p

EDIT: I'm just talking about preparing it to put it on a sub or sandwich lol, my bad if I have the wording wrong, as I haven't really ate tuna since I was younger.

I like to add chopped pickles (sweet) or sweet relish. Yummy! :)

Tuna safe dolphin(must be water packed. Oil no good),
Mayo
Salt
Pepper
Mrs Dash
Oragano

Mix, cover, and let sit in the fridge for a few hours(it must "cure" to meld the spices)

Then some bread or crackers.
