How do you make your LCD look best? Do you use Adobe Gamma, 3Deep...help here!

I have a Dell I8200 laptop with a uxga screen. I want to make it as bright and clear as possible, but I'm not sure what to do. I'm wondering if through a combination of using the color correction tab in the display properties, and the adobe gamma adjuster if I can make my screen look better. Is this possible to do with a laptop lcd? I would appreciate any input, especially on how to get adobe gamma working. Thanks!

I use Adobe Gamma. If you didn't take the option to set it up when you first installed Photoshop you can run it from the Control Panel, that's where the shortcut lies. Follow the instructions. You need to be able to be in a dark or nearly dark room to set it up correctly.
