My beloved shih tzu jasmine ain't doin to hot.

shes 15, has severe cataractx, horrible arthritis in her spine, last 2 months shes sleeps alll day stays up all night, she even started her brand new hobby 2 months ago of randomly barking her head off until i wake up, and stop her. Every single night around 4am.

barking all night leads to a horse throat for her, and i cannot get her groomed because she will snap.(which the dog has Never done, in her 15 years on earth)

its breaks my heart, shes been a family member so long and i simply do not have the fiances to make her well again?(if even possible)

so what do i do? i can't simply drop her off at the Humane society and simply say here :this dog has tons of problems, you deal with her.

but then again i don't have the fiances to put her down humanly at my local vet.

I'm going to go drown my sorrows in another blunt.

you have the money for a blunt, but not enough to end the life of a valued member of your family? Grow the Fuck up and take responsibility. When the animal is no longer able to enjoy life you have the responsibility to put them out of their misery.

Talk to the vet. If you both agree the animal is in lots of pain and cant be made better then do it.

Its not a pleasant decision but it must be made.
Every vet I know has an ethic that wont allow them to refuse service based on money. They all allow some way to make monthly payments.

Drugs cost money or did you think they were free.

It just seems stupid to pay mucho bucks for murdering an animal.

First off its not murder. Second its not mucho bucks, its a reasonable fee for Humanely doing a job that most people would not do themselves.

Moron, it's humanely putting the the pet to sleep. You might think it's alright to just bludgeon one's pet to death when you don't want to spend $100 to care for it. But many people want their companion of many years to pass away with as little pain and compassion as possible.

Then go ahead and let your animal suffer because you are not responsible enough to do what is right.

between drugs and cremation, yeah, i agree, its reasonable.

my family had a dog for 13 or 14 years. great, great dog. never bothered people, never bothered us, never made a mess or anything.

earlier this year he was having a hell of a time moving around, when he did he was clearly uncomfortable or in pain. we tried some pain meds for a couple of months and they didnt do much good. he was clearly miserable and we decided to put him down to spare him the pain.

it wasnt an easy decision to make, but we felt it was the right one

OP - I'm sorry to hear of your dog. I'm slowly going thru the same issue.

Do you have a credit card that you can charge the $100-200 to allow your faithful companion of so many years a painless restful sleep?

Murder is murder pal. KILLING something is murder no matter what. If it dies naturally without anyone inducing it's death, yeah it's natural death.

I've never had to put any of my dogs to sleep, so I was just guessing. My apologizes.

I just spent $4k on my dog after she had a seizure. Money is not an issue when it comes to my dogs.

Yes, I'm such a troll because I state facts!

---

Yes, you are being a troll, and no, you are not stating facts. Murder is a felony defined by law, and not all killing is murder under those statutes.

You are hammering the OP over and over with whatever point you think you had to make, you are being a prick about it, and you have done it more than enough times. Please give it a rest.

Before bush was in office i could easily do the same. I'm glad you take good care of your animals, i wish i had the money to do the same.

Lets all join the bandwagon and just start bashing me because i don't have the funds to properly deal with the situation.

You're a fucking troll b/c you're trying to be funny or you're a retarded and can't tell the difference between murder and euthanasia.

What's the OP supposed to do when his pet is in pain and suffering? Let it die naturally and suffer? He's showing compassion by wanting to end the pain and agony for his companion of some many years. Grow the fuck up.

QFT. Sounds like the dog has little or no quality of life and it's time to let go.
