How do you make rounded edges in Photoshop?

I'm not sure I entirely understand the question, but the pen/paths tools will give you the most control for making curves.

Sorry, long day and I'm tired.

If I want to make a logo that has rounded edges on it, I can use the rectangle and ellipitical marquee tools to make a selection and cut the selected stuff away and end up with either straight or curved edges.

What I want to know is how to make rounded edges without using the marquee tools or just using a paintbrush.

Ah, okay. The pen tool is probably what you want. It lets you make vector curves which are fully adjustable and which you can stroke or fill with a color or convert to a raster selection.
