It is as simple as saving your word formatted resume as text only and cleaning up all the formatting?

If someone wants you to cut and paste your resume into the body of an email, how do you do it any make it look good and clean?

What is ascii anyway?

Yes.

Use tabs and asterisks for bullet points, don't try to do any fancy column alignment.

ASCII is an international standard for characters. Search google for ascii table to see all the ascii characters. There's "graphical" ASCII characters too, in the olden days they would be used to make maze games and stuff.

Isn't the best way to ensure an ASCII only (no fancy formatting) document to create it in the most simplest most basic form like notepad?

Or even DOS?

If you're starting from scratch, if not "Save as Text" is a good place to start.
