I'm trying to get sound working on this Asus EEE PC but it thinks the speakers are headphones and the headphones are speakers and when I plug something in it just reverts where it sends the sound while disabling it at same time, so I get no sound anywhere.
I found that I can unmute headphones in alsamixer which will make the internal speaker work, but when I reboot this setting reverts. How do I get it to stick? Or even better, how do I get it to not think that the speaker is headphones? Would be nice to get both working properly but I'll be happy if I can at least get the internal speaker working.
