How do you make a taser work? Need help

How do you make an M18 taser work? We loaded it up, but it wont fire. We want to test fire it.. but the red test light wont come on, and it wont fire....

Anyone have any ideas? we are using duracell ultras. And in case you are wondering, yes there will be a video if this works. Also
