How do you login into DSL modem/router that is behind another router?

Since i am having connections probs with it I would like to be able to check out its stats and see what is going on. The DSL modem is a Siemans 4100, the router is a Netgear FR114 P (iirc). Anyway do I need to setup a rule to port foward the request? The router is using 192.168.0.1, and the DSL modem is being seen as 192.168.0.1.

Well, them both using the same IP address may be a source of your problems... otherwise just connect directly to the modem with your computer, configure it, then switch out your computer for the router

That is most likely the problem. Those two devices cannot have the same private IP address. So, you will have to power only one on to change its IP Address. Try 192.18.0.254 or something like that. Good luck.

The Siemans 4100 is a problematic deivce when working with Routers.

Google for "Siemans 4100" you would find among the first few discussions about few options.
