How do you locate a font in the font folder?

I see it in Microsoft and Adobe softwares but I can't find it in the windows/font folder? Is there a way I can locate or extract it?

Control panel>Choose 'Appearance & Themes'

Click 'Fonts' in upper left column

Click the 'Search' button in the explorer bar

Click 'All Files and Folders inside the Search box

Fill in the specific search info in the blank fields

Look In: field should already show Font folder
 
You should be able to go to your Control Panel, go into the url bar area and type font. It should bring you to your folder.
