Make tables; make cells right aligned and left aligned.

Its simple.

Tables are the key to Word layout happiness.

You could also set tabs, but tables are easier.

Yup, you should use a font with uniform character width, like Courier or Fixedsys. 🙂

thanks guys, invisible table worked great...

now making the table of contents... How can i make leader dots go all across the page to the page # lined up on the right?

found it...

NSERTING LEADER DOTS

In MS Word:

Leader dots are used to align page numbers and should be done prior to typing text on the page.

*

From the Menu bar click Format.
*

Click Tab ?
*

Choose the following defaults:
*

Tab stop position at 5.5"
*

Alignment Left
*

Leader option 2
*

Click Set button
*

Then OK

Now each time you press the tab key on your keyboard, it will tab over to the 5.5" mark and leave leader dots.
