My favorite:

Windows down, Music up, open freeway, 75mph speed limit (lets say... I-70 East, through Utah), early autumn, 80 degrees out......

Yeah... sounds like fun :)

I'll agree with most of that...'cept i'm not a big fan of 75 mph + with the windows down :p windows come down on busy roads in slower traffic!

also, i'm actually a big nightime driving fan....say 60 or 70 outside...leave around 8 or 9 pm...dusk in the summer....so i can still turn on my xenon headlights, yet my car is also visible....

then, on the way home, it's later and it's dark...music's pumping

about 45mph, with elbows resting on armrests, fingertips lighting gripping wheel, some classic rock playing at a moderate volume

Windows down, moonroof open, sophisticated pop playing fairly loud, 75 degrees, low humidity, full sun, light breeze, sweet aroma of spring, shifting and drifting, hot metal and oil, mechanical music, adrenaline surge...

usually down the middle of the fairway, about 250 to 275 yards from the tee.. unless it is a par three, then I like to put it on the green..

oh.. we aren't talking about golf, are we ? :)

ObAnswer: Over the speed limit, with the music loud.

cheers,

If the family is going somewhere, I just hope that someone else can drive. I don't like how I have to stay alert and awake during the driving. Although, I did just get an MP3 player for the car, so it shouldn't be as bad.
I always have the windows up; not much of a person for wind, or loud music. Like my climate control system. :)

Windows down, targa top off, no music 'cause the engine sounds nice, early spring or late fall dawn and dusk. Man I love my 914.

EDIT: "Wind in my hair, shifting and drifting, well weathered leather, hot metal and oil, the scented country air, mechanical music, adrenaline surge..." - mithrander, arguably the best driving song EVER, but you forgot a few bits of the line. ;)

like a fricken maniac :p j/k!!

Usually in the winter time, a warm car and not being stuck in a ditch or a backlane road :)
In the summer, with gas (paid for too would be nice:) ) and no car troubles.

Generally, in a bright sunny blue-skyed day on a cool day. Driving nights is ok, preferrably not to drive at night where there's lots of parked cars and I have to constantly be aware of when people is going to jump out. Don't like driving in the rain either.

In the middle of the night, near the beach, windows down, seat warmers on, music off, listening to the whistle of my turbo.

in my car (accord 2000), for city traffic, windows down, music loud (prolly punk or techno), gf at passenger side

in a covertible (both city and freeway), top down, all windows down, music loud (punk, techno, rap), at night time, heaters at full blast, and gf at passenger side once again

on the freeway (nonconvertible), windows up, A/C adjusted to perfect temperature, any energetic or driving music
