Epson 1640SU Photo

I'm going to get this for CAD$500 (US$325), unless someone says it's got major problems. I've always wanted a great big transparency adapter at high resolution, but have never been able to afford one. Not for professional use, but for my hobby with my medium format camera.

Windows 2000, Celeron 880, using USB.

Wow, I would say that is almost overkill for your nonprofessional/commercial needs, but damn, that's a fine scanner, and you'll be one happy camper with that sucker on your desk.

Mine is the 1640SU without the transparency lid and it works great. It'll surprise you how fast it is. I can scan a 1"x1.5" small wallet at 1600 ppi and get pretty decent 8x10's. I'm running w2k on a Celeron 850 using USB and it was no problem to set up.
