How do you know which hair style looks best for you?

Every so often i try a new hair style. but i get the same answer from friends and family:
It looks good.

When i ask which of the different styles i've tried looked the best, i get different answers:
this one, the last one, i dont remember what your other styles were, they all looked good

So i'm back to the haircut that i usually get.


how do you know which hair style looks the best for you?

I don't. I just get my hair cut. My haircut is pretty conservative though so I feel it doesn't look good or bad it just exists.

I have no idea. I grew my hair out a few years ago. I've been getting it cut shorter and shorter over the past two years, giving the hairstylists a pretty wide range of "do whatever you think looks good". I think its been molding in to something decent.

I don't care. People tell me mine looks good a bit longer, but I much prefer it to be short as hell. You only have to look at it, I have to live with it.

I've had everything from long hair to shaved head. It all looks good because I look good. You must look good too.

To be honest, I think certain hair styles do look better on others. Hair is not the same for everyone, mine is very thick. Right now I'm shaved.

I go to a decent salon and basically tell the stylist to give me something that looks good.

I have had no hair on the top of my head for over 10 years now and frankly I don't like it. I started shaving my head about 3 weeks ago and people seam to like it. I had tried this about 15 years ago and people told me I looked like a cancer patient.

Now I am a bit older and a bit fatter so it looks OK.

I tell the girl cutting my hair to do what she can with it and that I trust her judgement. It never turns out too bad, I guess.
