hey when your mobo boot up(no beep) , and nothing appear on the screen , its just blank , all the fan are working , the cpu is hot too, so is that mean that the cpu is roast or the mobo is roast

I have a 1.1 ghz on a ABIT KT7 RAID

1) The expression(s) are Roasted or Toast.
2) Have you check the Monitor connection?
3) There's no beep, but is the PC Speaker pluged in?
4) Do your drives spin up?
5) Have you changed/added ram or any pci cards lately?

1) Get another CPU to test in your board.
2) Take you CPU to a friends house and test it on their sys.
3) Take your computer in to the shop.
4) RTFM
5) Call 1-800-HLP-4AMD (or whatever AMDs techsupp is)
5) Try 1-800-CPU-DEAD (jk.... :p smile it'll all work out somehow)

Your CPU won't just spontaneously die. You would have had to run it overclocked without cooling, at the wrong voltage, etc.....

Something fishy here......Heres my opinion, your CPU has been "roast".

Ill take one Hercules Video card, and throw in the 16x DVD for half off.

:)

People, whether or not he seriously needs help here im not sure. But he has a post in the FS/FT forum trying to trade this CPU for a PIII 1.3 GHz or higher, stating that he will throw in a video card as well....Might not be worth the time..

This seems to be a hot deal... toasted!! :) Just kidding.

Looks like you don't have extra CPU to test it out. The only option you have is take out all component except video card, one stick of ram and CPU. Before you do that unplug everything including power cable to motherboard and plug it back in. It might work that way.

It happen to me once, there is a suddendly shortage and my CPU won't boot up but others are working fine. I unplug it and plug it back in and it reset itself. Still a unknown mystery to me. If this doesn't work, try to do the same to CPU too. Other than that, there is nothing I can help you over the net. Too bad you are in Georgia, otherwise I might able to help you out on site. :p

Just curious, how do you read this message if your system is down. :p If you have extra PC, then you can use their componet to test it.

If you spotted the brown burning, that's you are toasted. I did that once myself. :p
