The only way that I know what LiteOns have been rebadged to what brand is to keep checking the "hot deals" section of this forum.

well, some brands are ALWAYS remarked liteons, e.g. memorex..
others , i don't know how to tell.

dude, why does it matter, the real liteons are so cheap, how much can you save by taking the risk?

I know with the Cendynes that they will have the Lite-On model number on the box.Other brands I'm not sure about.

if its oem, just plug drive in system and see what bios detects it as
