Im going to get the Toshiba SD-R5002TA.

what media do i buy for this? i hear good things about vertabrim.

Is there certain media that's good for certain burners?

 
Here are some places to check:

check the toshiba website

go to dvdrhelp.com and read user comments

use google to find reviews of that model and see if they mention media used for testing

BTW rima.com is one reliable source of media, and ritek media is considered a step up from princo and no-name
