How do you know the OS you're using is the right one?

Very big waste of manpower to create that whole shanang. Has no logical basis to it. It is no different than horoscopes and things of such nature.Big waste of time.

It's a big ad for BeOS! I tried it, it told me to go to Be...but I'll roll over in my grave before I switch to a 'media' OS that um...needs apps and needs media support ;D

It said that I should use BeOS too 🙁

I did try it once... network card didn't work so I deleted it, plus there are almost no programs for it (comparatively speaking).

i got BeOS, which I already use and enjoy, then since some people suspected maybe they are all for Be, so I answered all the questions the nerdiest way I could (sorry guys) and got Linux

BeOS for me, ohh well, it really didnt matter the only OS that im not running is freeBSD. 😛

so screw you cnet

I didn't fill any of the options, and got that I'm a real daredevil and should use Linux. After selecting, it recommended BeOS.

Since this is about alternative OSs, it will never recommend Windows.

wow, I got bored...

Seems to be based on how many of choice, a, b, c, d, e you choose...

I don't think it recommends more than 5 possible OSs, Linux, NewDeal Office, BeOS, FreeBSD, and OS/2 Warp 4/5.

I think that's the order too. (i.e. all questions: first choice -> linux)

Not sure how it weighs them..

Okie, I'm not bored enough to sit around and figure out the whole thing. LOL I'm surprised about the OS/2 Warp 4/5 listing!

Ugh, FreeBSD. I hate unix even though I am competent in HPUX, Solaris and a few others. Give me games and the OSes they run on. Hell, if only a game could run itself with no OS at all. 😉

Damn...I'm BeOS. Other possibilities are OS/2 Warp 4 and 5 (Yeah, who the hell uses that), FreeBSD, Linux, and NewDeal Office (you ever heard of it? Not me. To get it, choose 1B, 2C, 3B, 4D, 5E). Yeah, I've been bored for the last 5 minutes. 🙂
