Its pretty easy to keep my upper half warm, I can wear a shirt and a jacket or any number of layers I want.

How do you keep your legs warm? You can't put a coat over your jeans.

Thermal underwear leggings and jeans...at least that is the max I ever need in Houston.

Sometimes I'll also wear some shorts just to add a little extra heat to my upper legs.

Are these underwear leggings comfortable?

Jeans don't keep me warm enough. It was 30 degrees and very windy last night, my legs were freezing.

Thermal underwear FTW. BTW, 30 degrees isn't cold. Cold is 30 below in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Dakota...

Yah, they are light and stay close to the skin. Definitely help keep you warm.

true. i wear regular jeans down to about 5 or 10 degrees, then the flannel lined jeans come out.

Folks who grew up in cold country know that you don't dress to stay warm (ain't gonna happen) you dress to survive.

Typically long johns. They're thicker and warmer than a thermal base layer, plus you won't need the ventilation if it's that cold. I never wore more than jeans, even when it was -25 degrees.

meh, 30 degrees? give me shorts and a light jacket and i'd be fine. I lived in maine for over 20 years and I don't think my legs ever got uncomfortably cold...
