how do you keep your extra 4-wire pwr cables neat and tidy?

how do you keep them out of the way, out of sight, secure from moving around, and prevented from vibrating and generating noise?

Double-sided velcro can help keep them bundled nicely, yet accessible when needed. On my Antec cases, I run them out-of-sight where possible, meaning the ones that go down to the HDD cage get routed between the mobo plate and the 5.25" bay cage (so does the main ATX cable, since my ATX receptacles are on that side of the mobos). Sometimes you can use the crossbeam of the case for cable containment too... how have you done yours, got any pics? (I don't, no camera :()

Buy enough components to use them all.:D
2 floppy drives, 2 hard drives, 2 optical drives, and a 5.25" bay NewQ Platinum Equalizer.:)
I use split-loom tubing (think that's what it's called) - got it at an auto shop.

I like the velcro idea. I used to have mine stuffed in a plastic bag with a twist tie and then stuck onto the inside of the 5.25 cage with a zip tie and a zip tie holder. the big problem was accessibility.
btw I forget to mention my chassis is the antec Solution super-mini tower

On my Antec 3700 I have the majority of them rolled up and stuffed between the back of the PSU and the case wall. The others run behind the MoBo tray and behind the 5.25" and 3.5" drive cages. They are held in place with cable-ties. I also keep all my IDE/FDD cables folded out of the way for best airflow.

LOL! Right on!

You could also go the extreme route and have more components than power supplies, and turn off the computer, switch wires around and reboot the computer every time you want to use a different component. If you get enough things in there, no one will even notice a few wires

I'm running one splitter at this point, and have run up to two in the past.

I just took the simple way out, I wrapped them up with velcro ties and tucked them below my CDR drive. For fan wires I usually coil them up to the length needed and use a small tie-wrap to keep them coiled.

How come your SLK-800 or SLK-600 is oriented vertically instead of horizontally? I thought the lugs on the socket would be in a standard location for all mobos of the same socket.

I use expandable mesh and it works great. Similar to the stuff enermax uses on their power supplies.

It's a Socket 370 board. That's how the socket is oriented on that board. It's oriented the same on the three or four different Socket 370 boards that I've used. Maybe that's standard for Socket 370 boards?

I am by no means a cable management guru, but I like to use zip ties, electrical tape, and the chassis to keep wires tidy. First of all, I decide what power leads should go where. Then I route them around the case and drive bays and support beams so they aren't hanging freely before they reach the device. For example, my hard drive and floppy connector is pulled tightly to the support beam in my case, then run along there until it reaches the drive cages, then pulled flush against them, held with zip ties and folded around the IDE cables before plugging into the drives. This way, it is only visible and blocking airflow right before the drives themselves.

As for IDE cables, the unsightly bastages, I fold them tightly at right angles and lay them flush against the chassis, using electrical tape to hold them in place.

I use Socket 462. I think that's why it's different. Do vibrating Molex connectors really generate noise though? I only have a heatsink fan and the two power supply fans so I don't think there is much reason for me to worry about keeping cables as neat as some of you have it except for purely aesthetic purposes.
