How do you keep IE or FF from loading from the cache?

I'm uploading the new files to the webserver and trying to review my changes in my browsers. Unfortunately, the changes don't show up because IE and FF keeps on reloading an older version of the page from the cache / temporary internet files that are stored on my hard drive.

Is there some way to force IE or FF to refresh the data from the server and to NOT use the temporary internet files?

You can also change your IE preferences to do this for every web page you visit. In IE7, Tools > Internet Options > General Settings > Browsing History Settings. Change the radio button to "Every time I visit the page."

In FF I usually do CTRL+F5 if you want it permanent just set max cache size to like 1KB. But I prefer just doing ctrl+f5 to have the extra assurance that it really did reload.

Which is a waste of network traffic since you don't normally want that behavior.

I always leave it on auto, but doesn't this just affect how often it checks, as opposed to how often it downloads?
