How do you hook up your cable box to your vcr to your tv so you can record from your cable box?

IF your VCR has two coax connections simply put the Cable Box into the Input and run a cable from the output of the VCR into the tvs coax input.

Cable line goes into my cable box-then to the ANT IN on my VCR-Then from the ANT OUT on my VCR to the ANT IN on my TV, hope this helps 🙂

edit: minendo is a faster typer 😉

but then you have to keep your vcr on channel 4 all the time, so if you want to do timed recording on the VCR you have to make sure you leave the cable box on and on the channel you want to record, and set the vcr to record channel 4 at the time you want... its a pain in the ass

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that only apply to the "older" cable boxes? 😕

If you tune your TV to channel 3 when on your cable box then you will also have to have the VCR on channel 3 to record a show. Same as your TV, change the channels on you cable box.

edit/ slow typer.

i don't think so, i had a new digital cable box and that's the only way i could figure out how to hook it up through the vcr
