Listen to what she has to say. You can't really say anything. Whatever you say will just make it worse (you are talking to a female afterall and this is like her being on her period).

Why is she having a panic attack?

i'm not sure why she is having one. she keeps telling me not to talk because she thinks i'm yelling at her when i speak. she's hiding in her closet...

it's definitely a problem with a person

try to talk in a soothing tone

Scare her straight. Go over and smack her until she calms down. Or tell her to drink half a bottle of JD.

that's tough... maybe you can try to distract her, get her attention and start talking about a really great time you too had... you know, "remember that time we blah blah blah..." just to try to get her to focus on something different, it may calm her long enough to bring her down from the state she's in right now.

edit: 2 hours late, sorry. hope she's ok.

just for the record scaring her will only make it worse. If you want a quick fix, get her angry at you. It is impossible to feel anger and panick at the same time.

Believe me, panick attacks suck... but just talking should calm the person down... I know when I get them if I call up someone and start talking with them I settle down and feel better...
