How do you have OS X save your WiFi settings?

I managed to have my father's iMac running OS X to properly connect to my Linksys WRT54G 802.11G wireless hardware. It runs WEP with non-broadcasted SSID. I managed to get the iMac to connect to it using the Airport tool on the toolbar but I can't manage to have it save the details so when the machine restarts or powers off all the data is lost and you must manually re-enter the SSID (since it isn't broadcasted) and the WEP password.

Any clues? I'm no Mac user so its probably something simple ;)

Well I found the problem. You can't just "join" a network and have it save the settings. You must use the system preferences -> network tool to have it stay permanently. It would seem the other way is just meant for hotspot usage here and there perhaps.

Hope this helps if anyone else has a problem with a Mac
