I have my psychology book to read, but I'm really not interested in it nor am I processing any of the information I'm reading. How do you read it so that you can process it well and memorize everything?

i never did. it helps to take classes you're interested in to begin with. you have to learn to pay attention in class, though.

When you guys say you don't read it, are you serious? I mean it's ok to say that you read, nobody is going to tease you for being a book nerd. I find it hard to believe that some of you guys have 3-4.0 gpas and you guys rarely read your books. Thats amazing to say the least. I mean I don't mean to use it as a crutch, I do have ADD, I do take medicine, but I don't think the medicine helps any.

Anyways, what do you guys do then if you don't "read the book?"

Yeah that's true, but when your major requires something it's not the funnest thing to do, you know what I mean?

If I'm not interested in something, I do just enough to get my C. I really suck at putting effort into things I don't care about, so I'll do jsut about anything else besides study for those classes... and yes, that includes posting on ATOT jsut to avoid reading the book for "boring class 101".

Yea....I don't read my textbooks, ever. They are opened if there is a homework problem that I need to do.

I don't even do the homework. Just do enough to get a C or maybe a B on the boring and hard non-major related classes. Then do really well on the easy and interesting classes.

It also helps make the course interesting if the instructor is hot. I've stayed in courses just because the chick who was teaching was hot.
