How do you guys manage without gaming?

For all you people who program/code, do web design work, anything that DOESNT involve gaming but involves something positive, how the HELL do you stop yourself from gaming?

Ever since I got this rig all I do is game, game, game...

I can't stop gaming. If I start, I won't stop until I'm dead tired and it's night time.

Why is it only for people who program/code? I can't game anymore, it just kinda bores me and I used to be a hardcore gamer. I lost interest over time. I can't play anything but classic sonic 2 on the genesis.

I don't know - I've never been into gaming. I like having a fast system, but I never push it to it's limits

I own two games, literally. And I never play them.

Gaming to me has become quite dry, and boring. I still enjoy a good old fighting game on the consoles against my friends. MvC2, Soul Calibur, Tekken Tag, are some of my favorites. I was a hardcore CS player also, but things started getting old. GT4 is calling me out again though, but I'll probably have to wait till summer or so til I can get around to that monster of a game.

Who says we don't game? Matter of fact, I'm waiting for KOTOR2 to hit the shelves at BB. I'll be scarce for a few weeks once I get that game.

Oh yeah, and work and family keeps me from gaming as much as I'd like to sometimes. Hell, even the dog and cat drag me off the puter on occassion.

I have managed to quit 2 games so far...

Diablo II and Counterstrike.

But those are mainly the only games I've played...

Oh well. I guess I will just have to beat HL2, Doom3, Halo, Halo2, and uninstall everything.

Hey, I'm 26 and more of a gamer than I was at 18. Maybe 'people change', but that doesn't make them any LESS a gamer. Depends on your priorities.

I can't afford to game right now. Later on in life, when I retire at 35 with several hundred million dollars to my name, I'll think of now and realize it paid off not to game all the time. Because from 35 on I'll be pwning n00bs for a living.
