How do you guys keep your system quiet?

I have a lot of fans and stuff in my sytem that make it pretty loud. How should i make it more quite? I don't really want to replace anything, so i'm looking at maybe some acoutic foam or something like that. Anyone do this?

I found out that the loudest thing in my system is my 10,000 rpm drive.

I've also found out that if you carefully plan the airflow in your case, 1 case fan is enough for my overclocking purposes. I only have a case fan, cpu fan, hd fan, and PS fan, and everything is cool.

o/c 550E to 733.

I have found that my Global Win FOP 32 fan is the loudest and i can't really do anything about it. I have a panaflow 120 mm and it's very quiet and i also have 1 80mm fan up top that doesn't emit that much noise either

My computer is quite loud but I'm used to it. I have a YSTech 8CM fan which blows 47cfm (I love this one, regulars may notice). I have an FKK50 with two cpu fans.
I think you would find a 120mm fan noise less obtrusive than a 80mm one for the same air movement, the noise will have a lower pitch. I had a horrible Apricot 486 slimline, it had a little whiny fan near middle C, it was much harder to live with than this one (it was only a 486 for chrissakes).
At quietpc.com they have a link to a very convincing AMD approved quiet powersupply like 1/3 as much noise as normal. They also have a quiet CPU fan, though it isn't as powerful for overclocking.

I turn it off...🙂

Ohhh, you mean, "when it's on..."

My system's not that loud. But, that 120mm fan blowing 56cfm in the front can sound like a jet.

I tend to play *.mp3s while typing or increase the volume when I'm playing games.

I generaly turn my tv up, then i cant hear it anymore, that high pitched whine from my 10k seagate just cant be covered up by anything, it fits right in when jets bly over the house.
