How do you guys configure your audio properties, devices, and speakers?

I've got a set of Logitech Z5300s and while music sounds great, I don't feel there's enough oompf to movies. I'm having a hard time properly configuring everything because there are so many points of control.

I've always had:

Windows device volume: 50%
Windows wave volume: 50%
Windows speaker volume: 50%

nVIDIA NVMixer bass: 75%
nVIDIA NVMixer mid: 60%
nVIDIA NVMixer treble: 75%
nVIDIA NVMixer left, left rear, right, right rear speaker volume: 75%
nVIDIA NVMixer center, bass speaker volume: 100%

On the Logitech wired control I have the sub set to 2 of 7 possible points of volume. I adjust the main volume as I see fit.

So, I ask you audiophiles out there: What do you set your volume levels to?

i set the speaker volume on m Promedia 4.1s pretty high and adjust it from my keyboard which is just changeing the windows volume, wav/mp3 is at 50% all other maxed

I keep most stuff from 65-85% and control the volume using the master system volume and/or the speakers, I have a remote control for each.

I find most of my controls ~40%. Then again my nforce2 onboard sound is via Cmedia chip, not the cheezy Realtek ALC650.

Keeping them maxed will probably, but not neccessarily, cause clipping.
