I bought the 41? Kobalt SS tool box from Lowes this past weekend (for the wonderful price of $650!) I was somewhat disappointed that it did not have the peel-off plastic wrap to protect the SS besides the standard giant plastic bag. The SS is in good shape except a few minor marks here and there. What do you guys use to clean SS and to keep it looking clean?

Also, I can?t peel off the giant advertisement sticker on the inside of the top lid. They used super sticky glue or something because I can't peel off more than ½? long strips at a time. I have goo gone but i don?t think it will work until I get rid of all the printed material first. Any ideas?

Stainless steel cleaner and a steel wool scrubber.

A hard plastic scraper (like an ice scraper) to remove the bulk sticker, followed by Goo Gone+more scraping. You can also heat up the sticker with a blowdryer to soften the glue and make it easier to scrape off.

I shopped for toolboxes a year or two ago, was amazed at the high prices and horrible quality of the boxes at both HD and Lowes.

Ended up buying a very heavy duty (though not terribly pretty) red-painted one for half what I was going to spend at Sears at Harbor Freight. Thank you, China.

Yeah, I realize I'm not answering your question :p
