How do you go about being a hermit?

TV (with cable), broadband, on-line bill pay, big fridge and a 24hr grocery/minimart in the vicinity.
 
It?s hard to be a proper hermit in today?s world because you have to leave the house to work. But this is the best time ever to be a Semi-Hermit. With the advent of the Internet stores and the popularity of foods delivery businesses plus online banking you hardly ever have to leave the house.
 
I could very easily be a hermit for 6-12 months in a tropical climate. I think it'd be really fun.

hehe...nice🙂 Yeah, with everything available on the internet, it is easier than ever to be a hermit...then again, youi would probably have to sign for packages when they arrive, and that would require talking to the delivery man/woman!!!

What!!!! Are you telling me that you're not already sitting in front of your computer 24/7 reading ATOT???? You should be ashame or yourself and you deserve to be banned.
 
people make money doing business online, Banking online, UPS will drop off non-COD packages if you sign a waiver. You COULD get by without ever leaving the house. I just wouldn't recommend it. During really long consulting gigs, I've vpned in and could go days without seeing daylight.

Plus there was that study that reported that it was possible to live off the money you made in everquest if you played like 15 hours/day.
 
Hmmm, all of the hermits I have ever encountered lived in caves in the wilderness. People would occasionallyl drop off some food for them, but they lived on roots, berries and whatever they could trap. Some very interesting charachters, they are. 😉

I use to live in the LIC area, too bad they don't delivery farther out yet. Grocery shopping at 3am rarely involves contact besides at the register. Hopefully Stop n Shop will install some automatic cashiers.

Parts (or all, am not certain) of Long Island City are in the delivery zone. I have a friend who lives in LIC roughly near the Citibank building, and she uses FreshDirect quite a bit.

They're always expanding, and to be honest (from what I've seen) the prices are very reasonable, and the selection is rather high quality (especially the produce, and cuts of meat/poultry/fish/etc). Not to mention the initial free $25/$50 incentive.

Just telecommute, order pizza every night, do your banking online, watch Red Sox games, and make fun of NYY fans who make ATOT internet "banned" bets.
