I have tried about everything! Purple window cleaner, windex, and even the foamy stuff. I still get streaks that look like sh!t when I am done. Then I have to scrub over it with a dry towel to get any kind of decent results. Any one have great success at this?

I use "Industrial Strength" Glass Cleaner that i get from work... it foams on contact...

then I use a terry-cloth towel to clean the windows..

no streaking.

Stop by your local Target or Kragen AutoParts and get a Car Window Cleaner and a Terry Cloth Towel.

I use one ( forgot what it's called ), but has a Viking on it.

I just spray and wipe.. it's gone. Squeaky Clean window.

The coolest thing I have done is using standard Windex and crumpled-up newspaper to wash the windows.

I didn't believe my mom when she told me to try this, but it actually works awesome - and leaves no lint.

Try it - cheap (free) and I think you'll like the results.

Newspaper works... the news print actually polishes the window some. (Or atleast it use to, some say they use newer ink now that doesn't do this anymore)
You can also use some microfiber towels and the glass cleaner of your choice... or just plain water. You'll actually feel the towel pulling all the dirt off the window.
You can search around Autopia for more tips if you'd like.

Edit - Since you're getting streaks I'd say you can go to Walmart and get some nicsand microfiber towels. They're fine for windows, just don't use them on your paint. ;)

yeah used to use newspaper too. but also the aerosol type glass cleaners work damn well. I use one made by stoner. and i don't use terry cloth because i find it does sometimes leave lint, i use a lintless towel made for use on glass.

Man, you guys work too hard at it! Use any cheap "cleaner/polish" that wipes on and off easily. Do all four sides in less than ten minutes. The cotten rag you use to wipe off the polish from the exterior, is perfect for wiping the interior windows. No need to rub polish on them, just wipe with the used rag. The polish residue in the rag will do the work. Five minutes effort and you're done!

I have a dog. Spray a little sugar water and they are clean as a whistle. If that does not work, I go to Jax and let them do it. Why do yourself what you can pay others to do. :)

I always use Windex and I wipe it off with newspaper instead of a paper towel. No streaks for me. :)

use any glass cleaner. when you're done, wipe the windows down with a clean terry cloth and you shouldn't have any streaks.
