I have an ASUS FX5900 and it supports VIVO. I installed the WDM drivers, but I cannot seem to get any signal into my computer through the composite or s-video in slots. I'm sure everything is working.. I just have no clue how to do it!

HELP

What's your purpose? You need to have some kind of recording software. Maybe the Windows Movie Maker s/w will work for you? Check Windows Update.

My Gainward drivers defaulted to TV for the video-in so I had to change it to s-video in the properites. For my audio card I also had to go into the mixer and un-mute the analog/line-in.

Using Ulead DVD MovieFactory the motion artifacts are horrible even at DVD quality, a shaking or strobing effect. Next I'll try InterVideo WinDVD and VirtualDub to see if I can get a better capture. My system is a P4 3.2 with 1 GB and XP Pro so I'd hope this isn't from dropped frames.

I currently have MSIDVD from my MSI DVD drive... Do you really need a software to run video in? I didn't know that..

I want to use my computer monitor to play PS2 games and I also wanted to hook up my digi cam to the PC..

Any programs you suggest davesimmons? I have winDVD 5.1 and powerDVD but I never tried them.

Your card should have come with some "studio", "creator", or "producer" type program, check your DVDs. Not that the Ulead software that came with mine works very well :(

There are freeware tools at www.dvdrhelp.com and www.doom9.org, I'll be trying VirtualDub tonight.

Thank you I'll try the ASUS home theater CD that came with the card. I never knew what it was for.. I tend to avoid freeware ultilies that come with hardware..
