Thirded.

You have to use bleach in every wash to keep them out. Trying to bleach the stains out after they have been set in is an impossibility.

Mine... doesn't. Buy a better brand?

Huh, I googled it and I couldn't find any answers other than shitty websites about wives asking each other how to wash them out.

And next time wear deodorant.

Yep...it's the active ingredient in antiperspirent that causes cotton to turn yellow.

deodorants cause the stains.

they are my "new" shirts, but i dont feel like layering two white shirts that are identical over each other.
lets take out "buy new shirts" as an option..

how would you clean them?

Try driving a Chevy. Preferably a Suburban. I find that it keeps all my shirts nice and white.

Use Oxyclean if bleach doesnt work. If you dont feel like buying a big tub of that stuff, use a bottle of hydrogen peroxide.
If that doesnt work, get new shirts. Ideally darker earth tones. Use a T-shirt or Underarmor to protect the outer shirts.

Also, for 3 whole years in the Navy I worked as a deck hand stationed out of Florida. For a little while I stopped using anything under my pits because it didnt help anyways. I would just wash my hairy ass really good at the end of each day. I still got yellow stains underneath the arms of my t-shirts.

Terminology!

Deodorant should be fine.
It's the antiperspirants that are likely causing the stains.
Sweat itself shouldn't cause any staining, otherwise nearly everyone's shirts would be a crazy mess of various stains here and there.

2 unpossibles there.

Dude the shirts are stained and aren't coming clean. Your only option is going to be new shirts.

Wear an undershirt so you're not sweating directly onto the outer shirt and it will also prevent the antiperspirant/deodorant from coming into direct contact with the outer shirt.
