How do you get rid of this windows toolbar?

This is the Toolbar I want to get rid of. Trying to make Windows Vista 64 bit look as much like Windows 2000 and XP as possible. I know using the Aero effect limits the load on your cpu. Just want to try the classic windows theme for now. I been using the Aero theme for to long and not sure if I really like it. It is cool but I like the normal windows theme better. The only disadvantage I can see is you can't preview your windows by hovering over them at the bottom.

Right clicking on the toolbar or somewhere between there and the title bar usually brings up configuration in any app.

Doesn't work all I see as a option is unlock toolbar. From there I still can't get rid of it.

Is this app windows explorer? Maybe some enhancement is cloaking the configuration.

Yes this is windows explorer on Vista 64 bit. This is what it looks like when my folder view is set to classic. Was trying to get it to look as much like Windows 2000 and XP as possible. I used the aero theme previously but want to go back to the classic windows theme because I really always liked it better. I don't really need windows to look all pretty like Windows XP, Vista, and 7 looks like by default. I always preferred the Windows 2000 default look. Heck I would still be using Windows 2000 if I could even as a gamer.

Ok. Did w2k have the user configurable tool bars? Could you eliminate them completely?

I always move the address bar up next to the menu bar (becomes a maddr bar?) in windows explorer and ie6. I eliminate all other 'stuff' for maximum screen real estate since the keyboard can be used for everything else. I know at one point with xp this was not possible and then it was in a subsequent version. My guess is that it wasn't in w2k and that classic emulates this.

Can't remember. Someone has to know how to get rid of that toolbar. It is annoying unless I use the Aero theme with show preview and filters folder options instead of Use windows classic folders.

go to a command prompt type gpedit

under user configuration/Administrative templates/windows components/windows explorer
There are a bunch of options for customizing explorer that you normally do not have access to.
See if you can turn it off there.

You can have Windows Classic Menus and Aero. Basically Aero is the window frame with task bar interaction.

When you are in IE, have you clicked VIEW/TOOLBARS and see what is checked? I turn mine on and off just by checking and unchecking in XP, Vista, and Win 7.

What you have looks like a variant of the Favorites or Links bar. The Burn icon is not standard. Some program stuck that in. Find the program and you may find a clue.
