How do you get rid of images listed under Display > Desktop?

Under the list of background images there are a bunch that I want to clear off. I haven't used them in a long time, and I even tried renaming or moving the files, but they're still on the list. ???

Make a note of the file names you want to get rid of. Then, with Explorer, browse the /Windows folder and just delete 'em. Reboot - and they should be gone from your Display/Background list. By the same token, if you want your own photos, etc., just put copies there in the /Windows folder. They will appear on your list.
