how do you get rid of a bump on your nose?

i was boxing some kid a few months ago (with gloves..) and i got hit in the nose straight on, near my forehead. it was sore for a couple days and slightly swollen but i still have a bump in my nose where i got hit. is this permanent or does it just take forever to go away?

Is it a bump as in pimple/ingrown hair, or bump as in "a bump?" Possibly you got hit hard enough to bunch up some cartilage or something like that? Does it hurt when you press on it? Have you tried to pop it like a zit? Did you break your damn schnozzola? :Q

If it hurts and it won't pop, go see a doctor. Good luck with your impending rhinoplasty.

Might be a break. I've broken my nose several times and a few times it didn't bleed profusely like people talk about (although once it did) ... in that case it's permanent. But think of it as an identifying mark, I like mine.

Seems to me if you're that concerned about it, you should visit a professional. Like...oh I don't know...a doctor? Some times anandtechers lack an amazing amount of common sense.

no i didn't break my nose...hah it wasn't a hard hit, just enough to hurt. it's a bump in the bone or cartiledge or whatever's in there, not like a pimple. if i press a bit on it there is a slight pain
