How do you get out from under a realtor contract if they aren't worth sh*t?

It's pretty hard to.
My ex-wife is a realtor.
I think you might be able to drop the agent, check with another real estate company for details, they will be glad to help you.

It's my understanding that you can void any contract if the other party is not covering their part of the contract. If it was supposed to be up within a week and it's not then I say they are deliquent in their duties.
Tell them to kiss off.

What is the duration of the agreement? I hope you didn't list for 6 months. Keep a written record of her activity in case you must sue her. A week isn't that long. Is it her fault or the broker's fault? Call the broker and tell him to get his butt in gear. Big realtors, like Century 21, can take a century to get some things done. Good luck.

No word on an Open House, as of yet, but we should press her on it.
Thanks for the advice.

As for the internet listings; that is where we located the house we are buying. I liked the way you can narrow down what you want, and see decent pics before you go waste your time driving around. The house we chose was only the second one we went out and looked at.
I remember last time I was in the house buying stage, I spent many miserable days driving around and seeing houses that had no appeal, whatsoever.
