How do you get a Palm Vx to turn on?

I have it sitting in front of me, in the docking cradle, which is hooked up to my computer. I tried pressing every single button, but it doesnt go on. I think the battery is dead. Must I have the software set up on my computer before it can charge it? Thanx

No software is needed to actually charge the thing.

Turn the Palm on with the button on the top right hand corner.

AlastorX82, is this a new Vx? If so, has it been in the docking cradle for at least four hours before you attempted to turn it on? If not, that's why it won't come on when you push the green button on the top right of the unit.

The charge light doesn't come on. The unit isn't new.

It is possible that the cradle is bad. (but I doubt it) Try to find someone else who has a palm V, Vx, m500 or m505 and use their cradle.
If you can't find one, try going to Ofice Max or Best Buy or some other place that sells them and ask to use one of their cradles.

Note: I am not sure if the palms I listed all use the same cradle, but I think they do.
