How do you format your HD without the windows XP cd?

Might be a noob question, but I have never did this in windows xp. I know in previous editions I used to just restart to DOS, then fdisk.

I assume you want to format the actual system drive not a secondary drive right? If it really is just a non-system drive you can format it right from your Computer Management -> Disk Management screen (right-click My Computer and select Manage or under Administrative Tools).

If you want to do the system drive, I'd highly suggest just heading over here:

Download a Win98 boot disk, boot, and format.
