How do you flash the BIOS on an MSi board?

Okay, I have an MSi K7 Master (AMD761) and I want to plop an Athlon XP 1600+ into it.

I found the BIOS that is for the XPs, but I don't know how to flash it...

I've always fallen back on DOS prompts for BIOS flashes before, never done it in Win2000 before.

I understand there is a tool that will let you flash from within windows...I dunno...that seems sketchy to me....but whatever...where is this tool and how do I use it?

well, i don't like flashing from within win2k either...my Asus board lets me do that, but i always opt out

here is the page that tells you how to flash your MSI award bios

and in case you need to find it again, here is the page with the newest bios.

not sure if this is what you're looking for, but i also couldn't find any links to the in-windows flash utility

Can't you make a regular bootable floppy, put the flashing utility and the bios file on it, boot from it and flash your BIOS?

No I can not.
I'm running Win2000 you can't make boot disks in Win2000. :disgust:
And I don't have any old Win98 bootdisks, all my drives are NTFS so booting to DOS isn't very useful usually...I forgot about BIOS flashing...

Thanks for the links guys...but those are DOS flash instructions...I've flashed many a BIOS in DOS..that's not a problem...I just don't know how to do it in Win2000...
